What is the Commercial Pilot License (CPL) ?

The Commercial Pilot License (CPL) is a license issued by the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in India which permits a person to act as a pilot of an aircraft for remunerative purposes. The Commercial pilot license is recommended for professionals seeking to make a career in flying for commercial purposes.

Course Information

  • Age: Minimum 18 Years
  • Education level: 10 + 2 with Physics and Mathematics
  • Medical fitness: Class II and Class I Certificate
  • English proficiency: ICAO level 4 – Operational level of Aviation English

The entire course is delivered online, thus enabling the students to complete the basic requirements of the Commercial Pilot License from the comfort of their home and at their own timings before commencing actual flying training.

Examination:

  • DGCA conducts the written exams of Ground subjects as per their published schedule. Kindly refer to the DGCA exam page for further details.
  • The Department of Telecommunications (DOT) conducts the test for Radio Telephony License as per their published schedule.
